Al Madaen group signed a contract with Sonesta International Hotels to manage and operate Sonesta Hotel Doha, the first Sonesta branded 5 star boutique hotel in the Gulf area.

The group members revealed that the first phase of the Sonesta Hotel Doha will be ready before the end of this year, adding 166 rooms and suites and by the end of 2014, the hotel capacity should reach 260 rooms and suites.

El Madaen General Manager stated that the total investment of the project is approximately 400 million riyals, noting that the hotel is located in the heart of Doha city area of el saad, making it very close to business centers, the downtown area and from Doha International Airport as well as sports & conferences centers in the city

The Sonesta Hotel Doha hotel will be providing facilities to suit all guests needs whether business or leisure and in the same time preserves the Qatari cultural touch

The choice of Qatar to launch Sonesta’s first project in the Gulf region was based on the fact that the Qatari economy is classified now as one of the most growing economy and Doha became a global center of attraction to international investors.
