More tourists have come to Kuşadası by sea this year compared to the same term of last year, a local official has said.
“In 2007, 600,00 passengers in 615 ships arrived at the port. We estimate that the number of passengers will exceed 700,00 with 700 ships by the end of this year.”Özer Esenkaya, owner of a shipping agency, said ships that dock in Kuşadası are the biggest cruise ships in the Mediterranean. “That is why the service should be top quality,” he said. “And the port provides that. The feedback we receive from the captains of ships is very positive.” Port officials said 319 ships brought 237,738 people to Kuşadası in the first seven months of last year, while the number has increased to 285,123 in 322 ships this year as of the end of July. |

“Kuşadası Port offers one of the most qualified services among all the ports in the world,” Mustafa Esen, local head of Kuşadası, reported.
