Mashovhela Lodge situated in the Soutpansberg Mountains of South Africa is offering an amazing special on their full package during March 2009.

Ingrid Hahn, Operations Director for the Lodge, says “We are dropping our normal very affordable rate of ZAR680.00 per person per night down to ZAR490.00 for the month of March. This includes accommodation, all meals and activities on the reserve.”

“Now that the heat of summer has past, it is an ideal time of year to visit the area as the temperatures are very comfortable; rivers are still flowing from the summer rains, which means the waterfalls are spectacular. Migrant birds are still resident making birding excellent and most of the plants are still in flower.” Hahn added.

The Soutpansberg Mountains in northern Limpopo Province is an area of spectacular scenery, with valleys, rivers, waterfalls and beautiful forests. Mashovhela Lodge is situated on Morning Sun Reserve which is a natural heritage site and gets its name from the Mashovhela rock pool, the second most sacred site for the Venda Culture.

The lodge makes an excellent spring board to explore the surrounding area, which includes the northern Kruger National Park, Mapungubwe World Heritage Site, Venda as well as the Tuli Block in Botswana.

Recognised for its responsible tourism and conservation policies the Lodge is well worth a visit.
