| China Southern Airlines Flies Into Sponsorship Pact with the 16th Asian Games |

China Southern Airlines, the newest member of worldwide SkyTeam alliance and the largest airline in The People’s Republic of China is pleased to ink an all-new sponsorship pact with The 16th Asian Games Organization Committee and become the partner of The 16th Asian Games.
Mr. Tan Wangeng, President of China Southern Airlines said, “China Southern Airlines is honored to join hands with the Asian Games as a key sponsor and part of the greatest Games in history.”
As a Partner sponsor for The 16th Asian Games, China Southern Airlines provides direct air transportation to most all major Asian Games destinations throughout Asia and The Middle East to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport including: Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo and Manila.
Mr. Tan added, “In 2008, China Southern carried 58,240,000 passengers, ranked #1 in Asia and #4 in the world. We stand proud to be the No. 1 carrier in China in term of passenger volume for 30 consecutive years the only Top 5 Asian passenger airline in the world as well as the only Chinese carrier being named one of the Top 10 passenger airlines in the world for 4 years in a row.”
Currently, China Southern Airlines operates 342 modern Boeing 777, 747, 757, 737 and Airbus A330, 321, 320, 319 and 300 jet aircrafts serving destinations to 905 cities in 169 countries … forming an extensive network with Guangzhou and Beijing as its hubs, covering all of China, radiating throughout Asia and linking Europe, America, Australia & Africa with convenient connections to all main cities in the world via close cooperation with all the SkyTeam member airlines.
At the signing ceremony, China Southern announced that it will recruit 400 Asian Games flight attendants who will be entrusted to offer internationalized services to passengers traveling during the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. They’re also expected to join voluntary work for The 16th Asian Games as Asian Games hostess. Mr. Tan stressed, “China Southern is committed to the preparation for The16th Asian Games by continuously improving cabin, ground and connection services. We believe a safe and comfortable flying journey will give athletes and fans travelling to Guangzhou a very positive impression about China Southern and The 16th Asian Games”. |
