Hilton Petaling Jaya has appointed Denis Vecchiato as its new Executive Chef, in a role that will have him overseeing the hotel’s overall kitchens and managing its 114 team members.

Vecchiato will also be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s 2,000 daily guests continue to receive the high standards and level of culinary service that the hotel has been delivering for the past 25 years.

Vecchiato, who began his culinary career 13 years ago in Venice, Italy, has worked in kitchens of luxury and upscale hotels across the world from Dubai and China to the Philippines and India.

Trained at the Professional Institute ‘Elena Cornaro’ majoring in culinary and hotel management, Vecchiato remains as passionate about food today, as he was when he started his career 13 years ago, explaining “I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to be a part of a brand with a legacy and reputation, such as Hilton. For me, being a chef is about delivering high quality, exciting food in a consistent manner, something I feel I will be able to achieve and look forward to doing at Hilton”.
