Club Med Villas is delighted to announce that it has won a Property Award in the category of Best Development - Mauritius with a full five stars.  The development and project team of Club Med Villas attended a high profile gala dinner at the Marriott Hotel in London’s Grosvenor Square on 16 October 2009 and were presented with their award.

The event is part of the International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious competition dedicated to finding the best developments and real estate professionals across the globe.

Club Med Villas Mauritius triumphed in the category of Best Development - Mauritius with a full five stars which is testament to the breathtaking architecture and interior design of the development which presents a unique lifestyle proposition as it is adjacent to the five-trident Club Med Resort La Plantation d’Albion – one of the Resort group’s flagship luxury resorts.

Entries were judged by a panel of professionals and this year’s judges included Eric Pickles MP, chairman of the Conservative Party, Ben Wood, industry head property markets of Google UK; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals; Imtiaz Farookhi, chief executive of the National House Building Council; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI; Wilhelm Harnish, Master Builders of Australia (MBA); Thijis Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and Gillian Farr, head of design of Laura Ashley Home.

The villas are being overseen by notable Mauritian architect Jean-Michel d’Unienville  and are designed by Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet who also designed the resort at Club Med La Plantation d’Albion as well as other worldwide hotels and resorts.  Beautifully furnished and decorated using local products such as culm, rough wood and lava stone, the villas will perfectly blend in with the area’s lush, natural vegetation.  Villas come fully furnished and are finished to a high specification and purchasers can choose from three interior design styles for their bedrooms – African, Asian and Indian, each with its own unique design palette.  Each villa boasts an infinity pool, with some pools overlooking the Indian Ocean.  In addition, each will have its own garden as well as a beautiful ‘varangue’ - an outdoor living room of 40 to 60  m² which is just perfect for basking in the Indian sun.
