In September, Hong Kong has twice as many Russian tourists compared with the same period last year.

The number of Russians who visited Hong Kong, increased on 50,1% - up to 3 187 people.

In July 2009, amount of Russian tourists increase to 76, 7%, and in August - 87,3%, reported in the Moscow representative of Hong Kong tourism office.

 

hongkong1.jpgSince the beginning of the year, 25,526 Russians have visited Hong Kong. The total number of tourists for the period from January to September 2009 is 21,159 973 people.

 

An agreement abolishing visa requirements between Hong Kong and Russia has positive impact on growth in the number of Russian tourists traveling Hong Kong. Agreement on mutual abolition of visa requirements between Russia and Hong Kong entered into force on 1 July 2009. The agreement provides an opportunity to make visa-free travel for up to 14 days.

 

Hong Kong Immigration Department recommends that travelers carry with their proof of hotel reservation and round-trip ticket is enough for trips. If you have an invitation from the host, you can also present it to the employee at the immigration control.

  Russia's citizens, who plan to stay in Hong Kong for more than 14 days, must first apply for a visa.
