Timur Bayindir and Sinan Topaloglu competed at the elections to be the president of the association. Timur Bayindir reelected as the president with 167 votes, whereas Topaloglu only received 22 votes.

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler, IH&RA Chairman Ghassan Aidi, TURSAB President Basaran Ulusoy, TUREB President Serif Yenen, TUROB members and industry representatives attended the TUROB General Assembly.
