The city of Seoul and the Seoul Tourism Organization will host a special roadshow in London on Monday, July 12, promoting the Korean capital's emergence as a key meetings industry destination in the world.

The event will also highlight Seoul's rising profile as an innovator of design across all areas of industry and the growing popularity of Korean cuisine.

Over 250 representatives of major British organizations and global corporations are expected to attend, along with various dignitaries and members of the media.

Representatives from the Seoul Tourism Organization and the city's major meetings venues will spotlight the city's growing MICE capabilities, professional services and support programs that have transformed Seoul into an international business center and attractive and pro-environment tourism destination. Attendees will also have the opportunity to conduct individual consultations with industry professionals to explore various options available for the successful hosting of meetings, events and exhibitions in Seoul.

The evening's cultural presentations include a performance by an electronic violin sensation and a fashion show focusing on hanbok, or traditional Korean clothing. The participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a prize draw for a free trip to Seoul.

The London show is the second such promotional program by the Seoul Tourism Organization in Europe in two months, the first having successfully taken place in Brussels on May 28.

The Seoul Convention Bureau is a division of the Seoul Tourism Organization, a joint public/private venture launched by the city of Seoul and private enterprise in February 2008 with a core mission to promote Seoul as a convention and tourism destination.
