| Disney Adds Itineraries for 2009
Disney Cruise Line announced the two new eastern Caribbean itineraries for ships that will sail out of Port Canaveral in 2009.
Beginning in 2009, St. Croix and Tortola will be featured stops on separate seven-night itineraries. Those sailing on the cruise line will be able to choose from four different itineraries, including the traditional eastern and western Caribbean.
The cruise line also announced special offerings for its 2008 summer sailings. The cruise line will also offer two stops at its private island in Bahamas, Castaway Cay, during its four-night itineraries.
Disney Cruise Line, based in Celebration, announced in February plans to build two new ships. The two unnamed 124,000-ton ships are scheduled to launch in 2011 and 2012. Both are significantly larger than Disney's existing 83,000-ton ships, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, each of which has 1,250 staterooms. Their addition will more than double the passenger capacity for Disney Cruise Line. |
