Princess eTickets Enhanced with New Travel Agent Functions

In response to feedback from travel agents, Princess has added new functions to its Princess eTickets program, making it easier than ever for agents to monitor their clients' documentation process, and to easily print out boarding passes for large groups through POLAR Online without the need to access each client's individual booking.

The new features of Princess eTickets include two ways for agents to keep updated on which clients have completed the necessary pre-cruise documentation needed to sail. First, each day they will receive an email notification listing clients whose files have just been completed and can now be printed. Second, the line's innovative POLAR Online booking system will offer an at-a-glance screen to show which passengers have completed their documentation, or what information is missing. With these new tools, agents can keep track of their clients and note who may need assistance with the pre-cruise process.

Once a passenger's file is complete agents can now use POLAR Online to print out that client's boarding pass or can choose to print multiple passes for an entire group. In the past, agents would use Princess' Cruise Personalizer to check on their clients' status or to print documents -- they can now use POLAR Online instead to select multiple reservations to print at one time from an overview screen.

"We've had a tremendous response to our Princess eTickets," said Jan Swartz, Princess' senior vice president of customer service and sales. "This latest development will make the eTicket process even easier for agents as they'll be able to tell at a glance which passengers have completed their documentation, and they can assist their customers with printouts with an easy click of the mouse."

To be eligible for a boarding pass, passengers must have completed their immigration information, added credit card details, and have paid in full for the cruise. Once these requirements are met, the boarding pass becomes available at 75 days prior to the cruise.

Princess was the first line in the industry to convert completely to electronic ticketing, providing the earliest cruise documents available to passengers. Princess eTickets give travel agents and passengers 24/7 access to print out their cruise details and boarding passes whenever they wish, and saves travel agents both time and money, without the need to send final ticket packages on to their clients, reducing the resources required associated with handling travel documents.

Used by more agents to book Princess cruises than any other system, the state-of-the-art POLAR Online booking engine is widely acknowledged as the best such tool in the industry. The user-friendly "portal" to Princess reservations provides agents with an easy-to-navigate program, rich with information and options. POLAR Online can create a new booking in seven steps in as little as two minutes, and features more than 40 unique functions, including resources and tools rarely found on any other online system, including building a new group conveniently online and easily managing bookings and payments. Agents who wish to learn more about the many helpful features of POLAR Online can take a comprehensive course through Princess Academy .

Additional information about Princess is available through the line's online travel agent center at www.onesourcecruises.com . To contact the travel agent customer service department, call 1-800-421-1700.
